Dr. Michael E. Erickson Dr. Michael E. Erickson has given a lifetime of service to the Lord, his family, and his country. His life experiences are diversified and unique, and characterize the importance of theological education and ministry service. His primary theological areas include systematic theology, apologetics, and OT and NT studies. His degrees include a PhD in Biblical Studies from Capital Seminary & Graduate School, Greenbelt, MD, 2019; both a Th.M. and M.Div. from Capital Bible Seminary, Lanham, MD, 2004; an MS from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, 1982; and a BS from the US Military Academy, West Point, New York, 1971. He has served as a Lecturer-Professor at the Balkan Theological Seminary, Nis, Serbia (2016Present) and the International Baptist Bible College, Ukraine (2009-Present). He has served as adjunct professor at Capital Bible Seminary, Washington Bible College, Lanham, MD for 14 years; the director of the Cross Roads Bible Institute (2004-Present); and director of Biblical Small Groups at the Upper Cross Roads Baptist Church. He and his wife Ruth are active church missionaries, having completed 20 international trips (since 2004) to China, Ukraine, Serbia, Poland, Guatemala, and Armenia. He has served in chaplaincy roles in the Harford County Detention Center and the Boy Scouts of America. His ministry career began early, as a Sunday school teacher as West Point Cadet (1967-1971) and superintendent of the West Point Protestant Sunday School. He has served in corporate America in a variety of civilian leadership and teaching positions. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) who has served as a professional leadership trainerinstructor at US government agencies, local colleges, and local governments (5 years). He served for 32 years in the oil-gas industry, during which time he was awarded (4) United States patents.
Finally, Dr. Erickson served in the active US Army, 1971-1980, as a Captain (Honorable Discharge) and in the reserves, 1984-1993, as a Major (Honorable Discharge). He and his wife Ruth Emma Erickson have been happily married for 41 years and have 6 children and 13 grandchildren (“currently”).
